Sidney's Photography

Lone Companion

Taken during this. Sidney took this photo. He'd been frustrated with the light coming through the blinds and the cracks around them, which was making it harder for him to stay switched in/focus. He located and hung up a red blanket over the window, which was more opaque than the original thin black sheet that I /used/ to have hanging up, though not then as this place is in shambles. Further the window aught to be red. Either the windows in his castle are red or its just the primary color of the one master bedroom. But he made the window more appropriate, though not the perfect red coating I've thought about putting over it, nor the elaborate stained glass window I'd like to create out of cut plastic and attach to it. The pleated black paper curtain, red curtain, and sunlight formed a rib cage pattern. Far fewer photos were taken to get this right. I often take 30-50 or more of a thing. I remember Sidney remarked to another being like himself, that if Seth were less of a perfectionist It would get more done.

If I remember correctly, the very first time I met Sidney while in an Inner World environment, it was a room with long red curtains like would close to cover a theatrical stage. The first image drawn of him, which came before that, he had red clothes. Red seems to be his color.

Also, this particular plastic skull I refer to as "Guardian Death," and she makes me feel safe while I sleep. New readers, yes, I am aware I am all variety of weird.

Plastic light like that is tough to do, very nice job.

      So thank you, from Sidney
Plastic light? Is that light coming though layers of material? Or light on plastic objects?

Plastic lighting is lighting where the emphasis is on mass rather than contour or line. The background light can be angled downward. The background is intermediate in tone between the light-area and the shadow area of the subject.
