Koivine in the Sky by Amber-Aria

Koivine in the Sky

Amber-Aria

etherial beast of a distant dream
twisting through from realms unseen
a giant koi swimming through the skies
sprouting from the tangled vines
it moves with such mystic grace
before vanishing without a trace
so if you ever have the chance
make the most and watch it dance

~ Spur-of-the-moment poem provided by Dark_NZ in-stream!

This was the result of another late-night experiment with a new brush set I found via the Lexxercise Tumblr blog, and I’m EXTREMELY happy with this. This was about two and a half hours worth of playing with colours and digital paints, and I might use some of these techniques and brushes in my speedpaints next week.

This is actually an image inspired from a REALLY strange and really awesome dream I had during my nap earlier today. It was mildly Toriko-inspired, as I remember being my chef self, and being with my combo partner, Ero.

The most vivid image from that dream was of this gorgeous koi-headed vine stalk hanging from the sky over a sea of endless clouds. It’s not often that I have dreams where I actually feel like I’m there, rather than just observing myself from the outside like I’m watching a movie. I distinctly remember feeling utterly stunned, even scared by how ENORMOUS this living creature was, and the sensations I got from being so close to it. I had to attempt painting it in some way before I left for bed and lost the concept.

    ...Garargbabaragarabalergh...
This looks incredible; that is both a really great-looking set of brushes and a super-amazing image in its own right.

...So how did it taste? :D

Man, I only wish I'd gotten a chance to taste it in-dream. D: The koivine was unfortunately just a way to get up to the actual ingredient we were trying to fetch, but I can't deny I've mulled over what it would've tasted like.

      Also thankoooo~ <3
