Eleven years ago in March, I created several characters inspired by Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire, all Pokemorphs. While I've dropped a handful of them, six survived throughout the years and have become very important to me as well as the story I've been creating in my head. This is a short comic made in celebration of them.

FOR THE WEASYL CREW: Since my time here isn't as storied as it is on deviantArt, and since I'm not going to repost my entire dA archive (there's a lot there that's best left forgotten), I don't really expect you to know these characters. Please bear with me! You'll get to know them over time, I promise.

Hey hey hey, you know what sucks? Backgrounds! Know what sucks worse? Detailed backgrounds! 8D No seriously that last panel drove the dicks out of me. I'd started the comic doing everything without a straightedge, and I was almost done with the entire shebang when I decided that it looked so ugly that the entire thing needed redoing. Rather than completely redraw everything, though, I settled for digitally recreating all of the backgrounds while leaving the character art as it had been. Initially, the diner was supposed to be the only thing visible, the exterior being implied - but I hate myself and decided leaving the windows empty was lazy and dumb. So I spent even more time agonizing over that.

But honestly? Glad I took the time to do it. It looks much better this way.
