I am absolutely TIRED of seeing 10 year olds saying they can make music and reposting MIDI files of games onto sites and claiming it as theirs. It is LITERALLY the recolor of music.

One of my most favorite sites I like to take references of video game music is VGMusic

Back then (3-4 years ago) I admit, I was a music recolor myself- but I at least made the songs more original, or as most people say - Rearranged.

If you’re going to repost a MIDI and use DAW to convert it, the least you can do is make it different for pete sakes. God it only takes 15 minutes if you know what you’re doing.

I replaced all instruments in this song and used a bit of mastering and as well made it loopable. This is my re-arranged

Software I used: FL Studio 11.5

Instruments I used:
Sytrus
BooBass
BassDrum
FPC
PoiZone
FL Slayer

Effects used in the Master Channel:
Maximus on the master for a less fuddled sound
Fruity Limiter to make sure the sound doesn’t overflow
Convolver to give the soft reverb sound to FL Slayer.

Rearrangement (c) Me, but I give more credit to the guys at VGMusic for the MIDI’s
Original (c) Nintendo

*Edit: its loopable hence why it seems to cut off at the very end. I made sure to ‘wrap’ the song so that way it can be put on a loop if anyone actually enjoys this

**Edit: This post was more of a rant to some music 'recolors' and to prove that you can do much more than to be lazy with MIDI's. I see skilled people all the time use source MIDI in their works, and then make something absolutely BRILLIANT with them. I aim to be one of those people... but, after I get bored of making original music for Sparky and shtuff.
