One of Rekzar's first "whoopsies" as a practiced mage was just casting a spell on himself to grow. Nonspecific, no real limits set, just to maybe be a bit stronger and... this is what happens when you make the mistake of inaccuracy. Lithe frame replaced by a hulking one, long teeth growing out of his muzzle and -of course- his mane going crazy. He's also about three feet taller.
