From Wikipedia:
Gestalt: The central principle of gestalt psychology is that the mind forms a global whole with self-organizing tendencies. This principle maintains that the human mind considers objects in their entirety before, or in parallel with, perception of their individual parts; suggesting the whole is other than the sum of its parts.
This is a concept that I've been toying with and seems to fit me quite well... I haven't been able to satisfactorily settle on one form (Larkspur, Hunter, Sira, etc.) so what if I'm actually a gestalt being?
A gestalt being is hard to pin down, simply because it's difficult for single-bodied beings to comprehend inhabiting more than one corporeal form. At the most basic, my consciousness extends between a genderless owl, a female dryphon, a sex-switching wolf, a tree, and the male Elegant Trogon that inhabits the tree. In addition, I am able to infuse my consciousness temporarily into other beings' bodies, only with their permission, of course. Very rarely am I seen together, with the exception of the tree and the trogon, though it has happened, as pictured above.
If this has gotten too "woo-woo" for you, I apologize.
(And yes, this is totally inspired by The Rook which you should all read, it's amazing.)
