archidaequiem Drew this for me in a request stream. Her watermark is still there (you can see it if look closely to the dress) but my love for doing whatever background that calls to me caused part to be hidden. This was colored with her permission and has been practically my main character for quite some time.

She did such a great job on drawing her, when I had no visual reference for her to go by and was so incredibly patient with me. First, tail was difficult to describe and she worked with until she got it, then I was lagging so I didn't hear her questions for some time (like a min or two) and some of her friends was cool enough to repeat the question to me in text so that she wasn't waiting forever for a reply. she's an awesome person and an amazing artist.

Oooh wow. You did an amazing job coloring this!

    :D

I really like how you did this, really. It's beautiful. I was worried when we were trying to communicate the art of her because I was afraid I wouldn't understand and make something you didn't like. >_<

I'm really relieved and happy you like it :3

    Excellent coloring job!

Oh wow! Thanks ^,^ my first reaction upon reading that was a dropped jaw and widened eyes since I consider your productions much higher quality than mine.

You do wonderfully! Never berate yourself for anyone else. It doesn't matter how "good" or "bad" someone is. It's your own satisfaction which matters. You need to be satisfied with yourself as an artist. Yes, I said artist.

It's my defensive joke that "coloring is still a form of manipulating, cause I'm still taking something someone else made and transforming it with a few filters". They do say art comes in many forms, so I suppose I can allow the title. To me an artist was always someone who could actually draw something from their imagination (aka: create).

Normally I've just got one source of trick in my coloring (got the texture as an overlay layer from a friend and how to do hair strands) but this time there's a bit of you in it. Not sure if it's how you actually do it or not, and you can't really see it since my lighting is low, but I used the smudge tool to lengthen and thin it out near the end on the skirt instead of trying to draw it tapering to thin. Got the idea watching you do those muscles on the "killing machine".

My coloring (painting anyway) is usually done on different layers. I select 'preserve opacity" to keep within the lines and color each part with darkening shades of each color slowly.

You did an amazing job on this though, seriously. :3
