Well, Reva said I needed to start practicing different poses…
So, tikky is doing this doodle trade thing over on his FA page, and I started on a cute pose idea that I just kept working on until, well, this happened.
I am really proud of this, despite my own self-criticisms (mainly, the diaper and lower body feels twisted weird, the face on the shirt doesn't quite blend or flex with the fabric enough, there's a few other anatomy flubs such as the hands and the eyes, and I'm sure the shading isn't done right). It's a tricky pose and I think I pulled it off somewhat decently, and I learned a few things while doing it, so it's all good.
And I just realized that one of his feet is like twice the size of the other. Which wouldn't be a problem, if the larger foot was the closer one. Dammit. -_-
So, yeah: comments, critiques, criticisms, tips, and pointers, are all always appreciated. :)
For tikky, who does super cute art and you should be watching.
PS: Also, I choose to imagine that this is mid-flip and he's milliseconds away from losing his balance and landing (safely) on his (padded) butt in the (soft) tall grass.
PPS: Also, SECOND fully digital pic, woo!
