It's a bit of a new years resolution for me to get more drawings done. As far as this goes, I'm just going to start numbering my sketches to see how high a number I get by the end of the year.

I upgraded my phone recently to a Galaxy Note 3. The pen that comes with it is apparently done by Wacom, so I did some digging and found some drawing apps.

The best I’ve found so far is “Clover Paint”. The interface is a bit unwieldy at first, but it’s worth getting used to. It has dynamic canvas sizing and will export PNG or PSD directly to my dropbox.

So far it's working out pretty well. I effectively have a digital sketchbook that fits in my pocket.

Anywho, here is a sketch I did in Clover Paint.

I've been tempted to get one of those for a artist friend of mine. How is those pen tablets working out for you?

The pen is decently pressure sensitive, like a mini wacom pen. Overall it's been working out just fine, but it doesn't replace my actual graphics tablet with my laptop.

Since there currently aren't many good options that will just work with any regular android tablet, I'd recommend getting one of the Samsung "Note" options.

Having said that, I can only use the thing as a phone because I have freaking huge hands. I got it in favor of a full tablet because, being able to handle the larger phone, I don't really need the tablet.

If this isn't the case, or it would be an unwieldy size as a phone for the person, I'd look into the Galaxy Note tablet options.
