This is JusticeWolf's prize for winning my "Flags of our People" contest back in May of 2011. :)

For his prize, he asked for my rendition of his group of heroes, the United Protectors; a team of four young women who were each imbued with the ancient magicks of their respected homelands. Magicks that not only made them stronger, faster, and more cunning than that of mere mortals, but also transmuted them into living symbols of their native lands. The dragon being the symbol of Wales, the lioness being the symbol of England, the unicorn being the symbol of Scotland and the deer being the symbol of North Ireland.

After taking down a rather powerful crime syndicate, the United Protectors were to be featured in London's biggest news story yet; and as such, the United Protectors were going to take part in several photo shoots. Photo shoots which featured them all standing proudly in their hero uniforms, amongst a "forest ruin" backdrop (which was itself a call-back to their ancient warrior roots).

The dragoness however, had other plans and just came to the shoots dressed in her jogging gear. A stunt that irritated their leader, the lioness, to no end and made everyone else either confused or tense. X3

Anyway, if you'd like to know more about them, you'll have to ask JusticeWolf about it; especially since they are his characters after all and I'm not so sure I could ever do them any proper justice. ^_^;
