Hyperadaptability.

It’s convenient.

It’s appropriate.

It’s chimerical, of course – but perhaps I should stop going on about it like this is an infomercial!

For those who aren’t in the know just yet, hyperadaptability is exactly what you’d suspect it is – rapid mutations to adjust to a change in the environment. As you’ve probably guessed, this one in particular is excusive to extended periods spend submerged in water (or any other liquid of low viscosity). Everything from the skeletal structure shifting to something comprised solely of cartilage to the physique slimming down considerably is tailored for sustained sojourn underwater. Membrane ears, extended webbing on the hands and feet – everything’s optimized! The only issue with this transformation is resurfacing. Since it’s such a drastic change, cracking back to the default is fairly bone-pop-tastic.

Ya acclimate to it after a while, though!
