Overheard at the corner of Copley Square, in front of those low stone railings at Old South Church, across the street from the Boston Public Library. I was walking by to the mall to get a frozen yogurt after work, around dusk.
These two were practically dancing together; constantly moving within the same three sidewalk concrete slab squares, simultaneously smoking, sharing a soda, and relationship processing - all while doing abrupt tricks on their skateboards.
They were both awkward and graceful at the same time in that zero-fucks-given, drunken master skaterat way: stumbling and throwing up the skateboard then lazily looping back into each other. Lots of scuffling and clattering.
