Kay masters not a little but a LOT of magic. All four element spells (Water, Earth, Fire, Wind) all three practical spells (Levitation, Transportation, and Transformation) and even some of the difficult magic (Ice, Wood, Steele, Life).

However with this great power give him great pain for those around him fear to befriend him. Other would taunt and bully him, knowing he couldn't fight back because of his parents teachings. Soon he feels that his very life was a burden to those around him so one dark night he leaves his family and the little friends he held dear. He finds a secluded place far from the touch of civilization. As he embraces his new found freedom the landscape changes from a cold icy wasteland into a warm and wondrous paradise. Leaving any trace of his past life behind him...but never truly forgetting the ones that made him Him.
