The Annoyances of... (#2)

Torin_Darkflight

Shield your eyes, it's another badly-drawn comic! I'm still tweaking the title of this series.

My last comic was somewhat of an exaggeration that just hinted at the truth. This comic, however, is as close to fact as it gets.

At least twice a week we receive new and restock product, and...to be honest, it never ceases to dumbfound me some of the methods the regional warehouses use to pack and ship certain items. This comic deals with what, to me, is perhaps the dumbest of these methods: the "one itty bitty item inside a big giant box" method.

Take a giant box, perhaps about as big as your body, insert a single small item no bigger than the palm of your hand, cram the box full of a whole forest worth of paper, and tape it shut. I kid you not when I say that we receive shipments like this on an almost weekly basis. Last week I opened a big box only to find one little travel alarm clock inside!

And if that doesn't take the cake...sometimes they put these individual itty bitty items inside big boxes...and then DON'T PUT ENOUGH PAPER IN FOR PADDING! This comic shows me opening a big box sufficiently crammed with paper only to find a single little iPod Shuffle. What it doesn't show, however, is that sometimes, they ship those iPods and other (Often quite expensive) items in boxes that aren't sufficiently padded! You pick up the box, and you can literally feel and hear them rattling and sliding around! Turn the box over, and they FALL THROUGH the loosely crumpled paper. That is piss-poor packing practice in my opinion. Those iPods aren't cheap mind you, if they get damaged because some lazy bum at the warehouse didn't want to spend the 3.7 seconds it takes to stuff more paper into the box, WE have to pay to send it back for RMA! ARGH!!!

Sigh Ok...enough ranting for now. I'll draw more comics probably.
