Raptor Bodies by Spikeheila

Raptor Bodies

Spikeheila

About the same as my one on Wings and Feather distribution on heads, here we have Bodies and general leg position in deinonychosaurs (this one specifically is velociraptor).

This is unfeathered because feathering can really really change the shape and dynamic of the entire body.

This isn't a matter of style. This is what the evidence for the body structure shows, in this animal. Just like how a Greyhound can't have a body that looks like a Bulldog, because it ceases to be a Greyhound

Row 1 -

Row one's body is raw and muscular, though I left out extra mass of possible fat, as well as extra wrinkles or skin flaps that could've existed, just for simplicity's sake in this.

The arms attach and are formed how they're supposed to, as are the legs and hips, and the tail is rather fine too.

Row 2 -

The first in this row is one that I've seen way too much. Many dinosaurs have a thing that's known as Gastralia or 'belly ribs', this shows the dinosaur's most basic outline if you look at skeletals. Leaving this out is silly, we know the animals had them, and that they don't have a greyhound-like body.
This issue is also prevalent with people who don't know that the part that hangs below, are not the genitals of the animal.

The second image has the belly ribs, but for one reason or another, they have the legs attached much lower than they should be, and completely detached to the hip bones. This is often associated with 'mammal legs' and bears a good resemblance to how lizards have their legs and hips, unfortunately this isn't really a thing for animals like velociraptor.
The tail is also attached wrong and is a weird cone that seems super immobile.

The third and final image in this row is one of the worst possible. In this, the animal is shown as if it is like a sickle-clawed dog or cat, with pronated hands and legs that bend back like the hips are mammalian. The belly ribs are usually missing as well. There is literally zero excuse for this.. Pretty much no dinosaur, ever, looks like this

Row 3 -

A complete and utter abomination of a deinonychosaur, let alone just a velociraptor. Here we have pronated hands and arms that droop too low, it's fingers and toes are smashed up into a 'paw' for whatever reason, and someone ripped out it's belly ribs. Raptors in this style show a clear and utter disregard for the animal, and dinosaurs as a whole, and clearly didn't do any kind of research whatsoever. It's likely the person(s) may be too used to drawing dogs and wolves, and apply that anatomy to pretty much everything.
Please euthanize this kind on sight, it's suffering horrifically.
