The Fuel Fields

This is one of my large scale spreads I did for an RPG startup company for the sci-fi universe they were crafting. They had interesting ideas for resource farming in-game, and this was to illustrate one of them- collecting space junk and putting it close enough to a star that it got irradiated, then harvesting it for fuel later.

I chose a view from below to show the scale as well as the massive barge loading up above. The star was difficult, it was hard to do right in real media. I do love the way the piece works at any angle though
