Excerpt from a mystery set in the Westvale environment, taking place almost a century after Argos of Westvale (see excerpt "Lost and Found") when there is a railroad connecting Chatton to Dermouth by way of Westvale. Roth R. Wolf is a passenger train conductor, J. B. Hiller a railroad detective. Argos and Fennec, though long dead, appear by proxy as it were.
