My second felting attempt, this time an arctic hare scratching herself. The eyes are glued black cabochon beads, the whiskers were kindly donated (naturally-shed) from my kitty and doggy, and there is hand-stitched detailing in all the crevices for added contrast. Wool was wrapped over an aluminium wire skeleton and felted down; WIP shots are in my FA scraps. This took me a few months to make, and was a Christmas gift for my mom-in-law. Will post some outdoor pics of Claire soon. (Note: the paws of arctic hares are brownish on the undersides, and of course, have no pawpads.) :)

Very nice, how big is this? I am still looking for someone to make a small 6 to 8 inch ferret for my husband.
This is an amazing second attempt at felting. I've never gotten truly into it (just messed around with it a bit at a workshop), but I can still tell that this took a lot of time and work. Your proportions are spot on, and this looks wonderfully realistic, and I love the attention to detail, especially around the face. Keep up the good work!
