Spoiler: This scene takes place in the second installment of Legacy of the Veiled Stars.

An alien parasitic race had invaded the homeworld of the arctic fox, and left the military might of the UDAS in ruin. Yukiomaru Alexander defeated the leader of the invading army but was consumed by an unseen alien form before, a large flowery pod. Captured, killed or devoured, the survivors of the invasion assumed Yukiomaru to be lost, or killed.

Several lightyears away, the survivors brought the fight to the second invasion wave on their ancient enemy's homeplanet. There, in the midst of a freezing storm, on an entire alien infested world, they find Yukiomaru. Seemingly unharmed, they await to see what the arctic fox does next.
