Like Twilight he was a student of Princess Celestia but unfortunately turned to the evil side. After being defeated by Twilight and the Elements of Harmony he was sent to Ponyville by Princess Celestia where Twilight can watch over him. He has a small shop for magical items and magic supplies, also offers all kinds of magical services.

I thought of Firejolt Mirage as a typical pony name (since he draws his power from fire and lightning and specializes in illusions) although apparently not all characters have "speaking names" that suffer from nominative dertermism and Takiro could be just fine as a name.

I tried to stay true to the original style of the show as much as I could but I smuggled in a bit of my own style too. Drawing that way was unexpectedly hard although it looks much simpler than my usual paintings.

I didn't watch past season four yet, no spoilers please x3.
