Sooo I realized I always keep unfinished sketches of random faceless lions laying around (heh) in my drawing folder and I never do anything with them. In fact I can testify I now have a pile of unfinished drawings waiting to be given a character and background.
And so I decided to finish at least one by drawing Kiara on it. It's a simple enough drawing but I like how it came out. The background ain't the best but I wanted to keep it simple as well, otherwise I would just overload it and it would be visually uglier.

I swear I like backlit characters and scenarios way too much- I've done it a bit recently and some of my friends call me out on it xD But I can't help it, I just love the warmth and calm it evokes. Besides, I've always imagined queen-to-be Kiara representing the sun. ...Maybe I'll do a Kovu drawing involving the moon next. I swear Kiara is my favourite lioness from TLK next to Sarabi.
