    It's funny, because one of my playthroughs of HG, in the grassy areas of that path that goes to Victory Road--I swear I kept running into Shiny Ponyta (and Doduo) a lot, but I could never catch either one, because they just refused to be caught. :< It was the one time I would run into mass Shinies and they were Pokemon too fast or too self-destructive for me to catch. All the Ponyta would keep using that one Move with recoil damage and take itself out!!!

      Shinies are hard to get in gen 2 apparently xD
      
      When I played the original gold version, shiny Tangela immediately noped out of battle, and shiny Graveler exploded >8C

        Yep, that totally sounds like every encounter with Graveler I ever have................. XD
