Another of my favorite mushrooms for Mayshroom - Hydnellum peckii - the bleeding tooth fungus, or strawberry and cream fungus! Such a cool mushroom. The "blood" is only on the young ones, and is actually guttation!

I honestly have no simple answer for this- they're fascinating to me, and I just... fell in love one year! Everything about them amazes me, and I love to find and identify them. If they're edible it's a plus, but not a necessity! :D It's like a weird.... deep connection haha

Can comprehend your fascination, they're indeed really interesting. Kinda sticking out from natures creations, not really a plant, not really an animal, tasty, mind-expanding and especially cooperative with their surroundings.
