I still can't come up with names, but after my last journal I got inspired to do an evolutionary line for my concept of a grass starter. My vision is something of a cross between an orchid and a creeper vine, with the type for its final form being Grass/Dark. So far all of the Grass type starter pokemon are either animals with bits of a plant growing out of them, or worse, just an an animal with a plant themed color scheme (nothing against Decidueye or any of the others, they have their own merits.) What I want is a grass starter that is unambiguously a PLANT and nothing else, like Trevenant or Roserade, and I came up with the idea of a bulb that moves with vines that evolves into an enormous mass of vines with a flower head that gives itself a vaguely humanoid appearance by strategically wrapping leaves around the vines. I was going for the "mysterious cloak guy" look with the flower petal forming a kind of hood that covers everything but its wide grin, and in my previous picture you can see how it had what appeared to be rolled up leaf arms with 3 vine like fingers, but when it attacks (as pictured here) the leaves unroll revealing their brightly colored patterns as what appeared to be fingers reveal themselves as 6 full length vines that go all the way up to the central mass. The "legs" are the same, just vines joined to the central mass given the illusion of a torso by a rolled up leaf. I imagine the pokedex entry for this thing bringing up how if left unchecked it will wrap its mass of vines around every tree in a forest as it spawns new buds.
