Coronado scored OT Winner to secure Ice Cats in first in Atlantic!

Raleigh started the first on a Roll, as Forward Tech shot a puck past Baltimore Goalie Rowan Dekathrine and the Ice Cats took the early lead. That goal was added to 30s later by Defencemen Sean Wulf, and the Ice Cats rode the the lead into the second up two to zero.

In the second pucks would fly, as both teams would put multiple goals on the board, and the Blue Herons would score three as the period closes to put themselves even, but a second goal on the night by Tech would put them back ahead and end the second with the Ice Cats up four to three.

The third was quiet for the most part as teams battled back and fourth firing more than 35 shots on net. The goalies however would mostly stood strong, with the exception of Whiteleaf letting the tieing goal in at mid period to Herons forward Krystal Lawrence, and as the horn went, the score was tied, leading to Overtime!

The Overtime however was short, as the frenetic pace the teams would take quickly lead to the winning score by Ice Cats Forward Carlos Coronado, winning the game 5 to 4. With the win, and Newfoundland on the bye, The Ice Cats now find themselves solidily in front in the Atlantic, ahead by two points, with a face off for the Division looming Thursday.
