Movement of the City

Not furry stuff. Just an AP studio art thing that I tried out, and I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out.

I thought up of this a while ago, when I was just reminiscing about how I used to do freerunning, before I broke my ankle. I just thought it was interesting how freerunners see the world as a plaything; buildings and pipes, walls and alleys, all things to explore and investigate in a search for lines and flow, which is a perspective not many others have.
Then I thought of the idea that the real life, the experience people hold on to, they don't happen in the offices or skyscrapers. They happen in the homes, the tiny shops and apartments, the slums and streets.

Then I just kind of mushed these two ideas together, and made this. I wanted to capture the subtle flow visible to in freerunning, the blurry contrast between work and home life, and the messiness involved in both ideas in general. It was a nice opportunity to not focus so much on getting perfect shading and blending. All-in-all, I don't think it turned out half-bad, but only time will tell.

As always, critiques and feedback are welcome!
