I've never done one of these character ref sheet things before but Ritts suggested I make one for those who might want to draw her. That includes me!

At first I was doing my regular shading thing but wondered if character ref sheets should stay flat-colored and the general consensus was to do just that. I did also include the bar of colors on the right anyway. I might later upload a more refined version of the frontal figure just for fun.

Some people put character descriptions in their ref sheets but I would rather attempt to unveil "backstory" through content. Though I did attempt to describe her kids' personalities through visuals.

Despite that, however, I will use this opportunity to elaborate the name choices of the kids:
• Cuke like "Puke" simply because he's the nasty kid who would think ipecac is hilarious.
• Muff is inspired by the Atari 2600 Pole Position commercial where the kids' names are Muffy, Buffy and Biff Jr. They seem like such a nice average American family in the commercial and giraffe mom's Muff is intended to be the "good kid".
• Gord like "Lord" since he's the top dog... or even like "gorge" because he has a peanut allergy but eats it anyway since he wants the brotein.
• Swill because that is my favorite beer from 10 Barrel which people either like or hate. Some say it tastes like feet. It was also recalled in 2014 because of a secondary-fermentation incident that caused bottles to explode. Ergo, giraffe mom's Swill is that kid who always seems sickly.
