Redesigns of a friend's characters for her birthday tomorrow. Sunshine (real name Lied) the bard and Starlight (real name Red Fairy... he doesn't like to talk about it, thank you). Thanks to MissMonie for suggesting Red AND Lied, as I was just going to draw Red, haha. I forget about poor Lied sometimes.
Maybe with the flashier redesign he'll come up more? Maybe? I should draw his sister Shira too.

So, Sunshine and Starlight were in a troupe of performers who entered the Kingdom Without Name during the strange events of Called Fox, where no one within the walls of the kingdom could speak proper names, and so everyone had to choose something to be called by instead. The moment it was dubbed a name the knowledge of it would fade away. So Lied became Sunshine over the border of that country, and Red Fairy became Starlight, and they were both certain they were forgetting something, but not what or why.
Also Starlight wanted to be called Darkstar, but thankfully everyone ignored him because no one could ever take them seriously with him announcing a name like that. It was almost, almost as bad as his actual original name.
