Due to the size of the sketchbook, these have to be done by photo--I did whatever editing I could to it, but............much like scanning traditional works, the colors are never exactly like the original.
It also occurred to me, I need to replace some of my grey shades of markers..............Stormbreaker's derma areas should be a slightly lighter grey than this, but darker than Novablaze's. scratches head Wasn't anticipating my old 40% Cool Grey to be this dark...........don't remember it being this dark........ @_@
It's a long, long way in my stories before either of Galvatron's brats grow up into adult forms, but it just felt like I should go all the way to the final evolution.
Technically..............the only reason I'm really posting them (since my anxiety drawing robots is pretty up there)--is so I have a reference link for my readers over at AO3. Everyone was happy when I posted the Novablaze ref............surprisingly enough. :) These will probably be the last pieces of TF art I'll post........... XD
So............Novablaze, the eldest and first born, he was always meant to grow up to look more like Galvatron than Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod--his final evolutionary form should show that. Also, I laid out in all the stories that Nova really liked animals--so that was a massive ongoing hint that at least one of his alt modes would be a beast mode, in this case a wolf of some sort (the other is a space jet). He was meant to be a triple-changer because.......in a lot of the renewed versions of these G1 characters as toys, most Voyager and Leader Class had multiple modes. Commonly now, because guns and cannons are not acceptable in today's world (sigh)--Megatron and Galvatron often now get saddled with a combo of a tank and a plane mode.......so, Nova being a triple-changer is in nod to the newer versions of Galvatron.
In contrast, Stormbreaker was meant to look more like Hot Rod than Galvatron. And the reason for her alt mode being an aerial mode...............well, you'll need to check the mini bio when I post her ref shortly......! Her wings--the flame pattern on it is color changing, it can be orange or yellow depending on her mood. The reason for "shininess" on either of these is that some parts are colored with a gel pen..........
Transformers belongs to Hasbro, OC's belong to me.
Thanks! I'm sure if I did the linework and then digitally colored it--I might feel better, but I get so wrapped up in the small details that I stress out when I can't do something like................OH SAY, ALEX MILNE. (I still can't believe I watched him sketch a headshot of Rodimus for me in like 60 seconds at TFCon................. @_@)
Funny enough................I used to be able to draw them better. In the 1990's. XD It's weird when I think how bad my high school art teacher scarred me and I gave up drawing for so many years.............I was a better artist before I gave up...........so, that's one reason I know I want to encourage everyone to NEVER GIVE UP DRAWING IF THEY REALLY WANT TO. Sometimes you just lose something you can't get back. So, no matter how you feel about your art now, when you're young..............don't give up on it. Because you lose something when you do. :)

I haven't seen a lot of TF artwork, but I still think you do pretty well with it! It doesn't look bad in any way, and it's always neat to have some sort of visual concept to help out with the verbal description.
