Ferahgo the Assassin (critique requested)

SpiderMilkshake

^w^ Toned paper sketch of the villain from Salamandastron. Before the trend of making all the main bad guys either conventionally super-ugly or somehow freakish and disfigured, there was the blue-eyed, fair-faced and silver-tongued weasel bandit lord (and his equally sociopathic son). It was one of the only little flips in the formula, revealing that fair-minded woodlanders still got judgmental on appearance and perceived economic class, a flaw which blind-sided poor Mara and Pikkle and nearly had them become hostages to the Corpsemaker gang. Of course, the same book had me clenched-jaw-eyes-rolling at how positively "vermin be vermin no matter wot!" it ultimately turned out to be, but the subversion of "Ugly/Poorly-Dressed=Evil" had me admiring this use of a villain.

That, and people who draw him tend to forget he a) wears a kilt of skins and b) only has three knives total. He's a deceitful bandit assassin, not a Warlord after all--quantity of knife means nothing when the first one misses.
