After leaving Star Fleet, Chakat Swiftwind found a new calling as a test pilot for one of the several contractors supplying small ship designs to the Stellar Federation. Here, shi is working as a test pilot to put a new small craft design through its paces in High Maneuver mode.

The couch, resembling a motorcycle seat, was designed to allow for greater stress on a taur's frame during any overbleed of the inertial dampers without causing whiplash at the midjoint. This configuration also provides access to additional controls for handpaw use by chakat pilots.

The couch can also descend beneath the floor plating for Cruise mode, allowing a taur to sit or lay in front of the controls for longer distances. This feature also would allow placement of a more traditional seat for biped use in both modes.
