Nicole, the Cheektowaga Cat-Woman by RachelTheSeeker

Nicole, the Cheektowaga Cat-Woman

RachelTheSeeker

Her youth was something she couldn't remember. Despite this, the grimalkin is as skilled a performer and acrobat as she is a fist-fighter. Trying to blend into human society as the lead singer of an indie band in the outskirts of Buffalo, New York, Nicole seeks to protect her and hers from the threat of fellow supernatural beings. Despite her strange appearance, which she'd been able to pass off as an elaborate costume, the Cheektowaga Cat-Woman cannot help but feel she favors a world she cannot truly join...

Holy Toledo, this picture is one of my favorites yet. Inking it and coloring it in were tense as can be, considering how much I loved the pencil lines. As it were, I am taking a break from my current fantasy setting in favor of an urban fantasy based around monsters living in Western New York. Reusing a bunch of older characters, the starring protagonist is a cat-girl inspired by Felicia and, to a lesser degree, "Pagan the Louisiana Cat-Girl" of DeviantArt. Overall, the story is heavily influenced by stuff such as Darkstalkers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Gargoyles. The short story series' title is "Corpse's Shell", one that will play into the origin of monsters in the canon. But for now, I'm digging my kitty. :3
