Thank you for your comment, it is really useful for improving my art skill. Maybe I wasn't aware of the shading, but it can be diffenert in my next drawing. It hasn't backgroud because the original idea for this gecko was for sticker sales purpouses.

The shading removes detail from the tail. Your snake piece is pretty good in comparison. The texture draws my eye in. The hand shadows add a layer that removes the nice texture with an unexpected one; an oddity.

I like the character. The shading on the tail gives it a damp look that I am not fond of; by the hands. The texture on the gecko is good. Adding a background should help it look nicer. I like the shadow line on the tail; by the hip.
