Oh boy, here's something I'm super excited to finally show you guys! There's a bit of a story that goes along with it:

Almost exactly a year ago my buddy Alek introduced me to a website called Zox. It's a pretty cool concept - you create art that gets critiqued by the staff and if it passes, goes up for preorders to be made into wearable wristbands. If you get enough preorders, it goes into production and you get a monetary reward. If you're a young artist just starting out and you want the chance to get your artwork printed without risking any of your own money, it can be an awesome opportunity and I recommend checking it out if that sounds intersting to you.
Anyway, I created this design because I wanted to give Zox a try! I posted it to the community Facebook page where it got a lot of positive support, and after submitting it through email, was told it was accepted and would be posted soon. Soon... never came, as the design acceptance process was going through an overhaul. I think my design just kind of got overlooked, and the new submission process felt equally as disorganized, so I dropped the idea and figured I'd repurpose this art for something else later.

Now, a year later, I finally had the time to investigate the wristband idea again thanks to some encouragement from Alek, but instead of going with Zox I figured why not just try to get them made myself? Zox payouts are actually quite low considering the number of designs they produce and I'd prefer to have more control over my art anyway. Thus, I got in contact with a custom textile printing company and started the process of manufacturing my own wristbands! I won't bore you with all the details, but it was a very exciting and also very scary process! There were so many things that could have gone terribly wrong, and I'm happy to say they didn't, and I ended up with an absolutely fantastic product that I'm incredibly happy with!
