So. I really love wickerbeasts, and how can you not? They're a great, fluffy monster and I adore them. And Furvilla is actually to blame for my love of them. I decided that I wanted a plush wickerbeast for myself and then realized I had everything on hand to make FV's Skull wickerbeast, so that's what I did. One year later, after lots of image studying, pattern testing and reworking, the result is Dougal!

Dougal is a big fella- he stands at 21.5 inches and his tail is 17 inches long. He's made with minky, faux fur and some weird blue fabric called "soft fur" on Fabric.com. He is also completely, 100% hand-stitched. The hardest parts of this wicker were trying to get the leg shapes just right, followed by figuring out that characteristic ruff all wickers have. At the moment I'm looking to make a tail pattern for this plush that's more in line with what official wickerbeasts look like. Why? Because I'm getting things ready to make these guys for commission!
