Wanted to do a very quick piece of sloppy work to try and convey depth and scale with as little polishing as possible. I strive to get to eve online concept art levels of greyscale intricacy. This is pretty much a failure of that. My next attempt will be trying to lay down a fully black piece for the farthest and working my way up through a few shades of gray with few white highlights to make a detailed piece. The goal is to have no goal in mind, let it flow and see the result. That can be seen here as conflicting angles and contradictory shading is all over the place on this station. That said I stuck a fork in this one as a failure and did not even get to proper lighting or glows to show any signs of power on this mess of metal. Time on this was something between an hour and an hour and a half. I want to get things like this down to half hour or less.
