I think I was inspired to do this (oddly enough) after a World of Warcraft wallpaper showing LiLi (little panda girl) in the middle of some scary stuff - with a shaft of light on her.

This doesn't look anything like a panda, does it? Or scary, for that matter. But that's what inspired it (true story.)
