I guess there's a bit of a story behind this pic; since I noticed a lot of artists are taking part in this Inktober thing this year, it inspired me to have a go at doing a traditionally inked pic of my own, though I don't think I could really do this sort of thing every day of the month, which is what Inktober is apparently all about. I've also been working on new designs for these two kangaroo siblings and thought about remaking old pics of Kate & Kurt with their new looks. To be honest, I couldn't really find anything I thought would really work as far as that goes; instead, I decided to draw them in a scene based rather loosely on a comic story I made a while ago which features these two and was also their first proper comic adventure. The title of this pic is also the same as that comic's title.

While working on this pic, I admit I was quite pleased with how it was turning out but later on I noticed more what seemed like several mistakes I made that I feel kind of separate me from the pros and other artists I admire. One thing I'm a bit ashamed of here is that I tried drawing pen strokes for Kate's fur texture which I felt didn't really look as good as I hoped, so I ended up using a bit of white paint (and some digital editing) to remove them afterwards. It bugged me since there seems to be this trend in which certain artists will take photos of their traditional art along with the tools they used rather than scan it as if to show and prove how flawlessly it turned out, something I doubt I could really "pull off". I've also been thinking that maybe I don't really use enough tags for my artwork as well.
