The battle was hard fought; there was no scenario in which the people of Templis could have won, yet they had to fight. They had to fight in order to protect their village, and their families. And when the raiders left, they had to continue fighting to protect their homes from destruction by fire.
The battle was lost, though the people were not.

For Chapter 10, I figured it'd be interesting to hop into Bradley's perspective. In all honesty, it made the most sense, seeing as he was the one telling the story. I hope I made that obvious enough in the story itself.
