Eloni is a 35 year old engineer/pilot. A skinny dweeb and high-functioning alcoholic. He's an obnoxious know-it-all and won't shut up about obscure subjects. Even if they're only mentioned in passing. Supposedly an engineer but lacks the proper skills to do the job correctly. Nobody understands how he keeps his position. There are rumors out there ranging from lack of personnel to screwing someone with a lot of power to keep him in place. He's pretty decent at operating very large space vehicles, though. Some say he's even better at it while intoxicated.
