Her continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations...

Lieutenant Commander Miyuki was a prodigy, seen from a young age to have an incredible passion for science, always curious and with a tireless mind ready to learn more. Of greatest interest to her was the fascinating diversity of life in the galaxy. She loved meeting new people from all over Federation space. As she grew up, her curiosity drove her to wonder how so many kinds of life, yet all so similar, spread throughout the galaxy. She decided it would be best to try out for Starfleet Academy. While she passed all intellectual challenges with flying colors, among the best in her class, the physical tests proved far more difficult for her, many she only just managed to pass. The only trials on which she had any comfortable margin were those involving endurance, over speed or strength. Nonetheless, she proved herself to Starfleet and was soon after began her work placed on a research station in the Beta Quadrant. She has proved herself a brilliant exobiologist, excelling in genetics and evolution, and her expertise has proven useful in advising for Medical when dealing with rarer species in the galaxy. She has helped develop cures for genetic diseases on other worlds, even using herself as a guinea pig when necessary or to watch how genes expressed themselves in developmental disorders. Ever the heart of her research has been understanding the origin of intelligent life in the galaxy, tracing it back to its home. She has utilized a number of methods to investigate that, including seeing how hybridization functions between intelligent species to track common genes as they flowed through the galaxy, archaeological collaboration, and examining the evolutionary heritage of species on their planet. She has hit some limitations, being set to work on a station. She's still hoping to get placed on a starship someday, but she still has many years ahead of her to do her work!

Can't believe I forgot to upload this! Been a fan of Star Trek for a while, and decided a few months ago it was time to get some art of that.
