Feeling inspired and decided to take a break from studying – so here, uploading a single piece of finished art for the first time since a long, long while, which feels so good I'm almost exploding inside of me! <3 This is basically Katharina's new fursona according to an unfinished reference sheet which I had the privilege to see. :3 During the earlier stages I had drawn a lineart, but as I was unhappy with how it looked like, I decided to go for a looser, semi-painterly style instead... It took really long, but she deserves every pixel for all of the amazing friend that she is. :hug: Hope you like it, Dani and that I got your design correctly!

I'm extremely inexperienced in drawing felines and would appreciate any constructive (and preferably harsh) critique on feline anatomy, as well as on the technique, use of colors and composition of any kind, as I'm looking to improve my artistic skills every moment. :3

    I love prehensile tails <3

    Legitimate statement coming from a feline who owns feline characters - I would never have been able to tell this was you are inexperienced. In fact I would have guessed felines was one of the species you did well at. The reasons being that the face and tail are very much ideal for your average feline - artists tend to struggle with getting the muzzle short enough but not too short unless it's their speciality and you nailed it. I also love the style and you did great on the eyes. I'd say if you have a weak point with felines it's the paws. Study a lot how their paws work because they are weird because felines are liquid. No not really but the toes are normally not that distinguishable, at least not that long of the toe. The fur kind blends them together except st the end. And your toebeans are good but could use a little improvement on the big pad. Study cat feet bottoms. It's fun because they are adorable. Beware claws and teeth if studying in real life.

      Aww, they're adorable indeed. (●ω●)

      You're making me grin SO much over here. Thank you so much for the many compliments on the feline's face and the style! I agree drawing muzzles can be very challenging, particularly with felines. Makes me so glad to hear it came out great in your eyes. Thank you also for the critique on the paws! I will definitely spend more time studying feline paws in the future then, and consider everything you've said. I value your feedback greatly, so thank you truly for taking the time to look at my artwork write it down! This was so nice of you! (●ω●) Haha, claws and teeth!~

        I'm glad I made you happy and that you didn't mind me pointing out ways to improve. It seemed like you needed some reassurance based on your description. <3

        And yea. Felines don't always appreciate our need/desire to study/play with their toe beans! But they're so cute ;-;
