Torchlight [Poem] by Mourne

Those of us from love long-lorn
Begin to see for what we're born.

Slowly we begin to learn:
All of us are here to burn.

Never envy the happy few--
"You cannot miss what you never knew."

Perhaps that's a lie.
But still say I:

Find your comfort, however slight.
Protect their love with the heat of your light.

Torchlight [Poem]

Mourne

Though perhaps some of us were born to be party glowsticks instead.
