I would like to say you did a good job at androgyny. It might be because I don't catch up to details right away but from the description, it sounded like a girl dressed as a guy, and then I would have asked embarrassing and dumb questions.

Good news is, I read the description more carefully and from the picture, I wouldn't have guessed it was vice versa. I say kudos for doing something like this. Usually crossplay is more obvious on the gender barrier being destroyed i.e. character wearing a skirt or makeup but here you took the high road and still made a conventional picture out of it with the only tell the clothes are feminine being the actual subtle details in the attire (the heels in the boots being high but not too high) . I would suggest making the pants tighter around the hip area as (and as bad as it sounds, trust me) it is hard for a guy to wear women's pants without tucking as women's pants weren't really designed for men in crossplay in mind.

Also, as for the character themselves. I think I may look at your design for your cat (as he looks like a lynx or a cheetah to me in the snout department) for inspiration for more long snouted members of the felidae. I am not very good with anthro art and I am quite envious you pulled off a style that combines realism and cartoon.

All in all, good job! I wouldn't comment on color per se as I know that the lack of it makes the piece a little more mature. Your shading though I actually love. It's so rough yet I got a good idea of the environment.

I think I have some some other references on my cheshire cat... I based him initially off of American McGee's Cheshire Cat, but with my own alterations... lion like tail... ear tufts... But I did draw on various species for inspiration... Sometimes I don't go into as much detail pencil shading but this one was very detailed & fun to work on. At some point I may color this... but all in all admittedly I think it looks good as just a sketch.

That is a good way to look at it. I noticed most people look at a general domestic cat for their Cheshire cat, usually forgetting big cats are... Well, big cats. I like how you described your inspiration for this character. I hope to see more of this character in the future!
