Ori Hadar - Skeletal View

KronoGarrett

The nonanthropomorphic version of everyone's favorite battledrake, reduced to a skeleton and some outlines. The design is a mix of rhinoceros, large theropod, and large ceratopsian anatomy, with a bird's keeled sternum, rock monitor's snout, and tegu's dentition. Can they rear back on their hind legs without faceplanting? Are the proportions right? Will the muscle groups align properly? Should I add more vertebrae so I can get that nice s-curve on the neck? That's part of why I'm posting this.

Inspiration ended up striking me earlier than I thought it would. I probably should give this another go since I think the neck angle looks a bit odd and there are a few quirky spots, but it's a step in the right direction. Terryl Whitlatch's books are proving incredibly useful for this.
