(Being a Japanese comic, keep in mind that this reads from right to left. ;3)

"That was clo...se...?" Charem gulped, feeling - for a moment - rather lucky. Hopeful. Perhaps the Lugia had hurt their teeth from that? Considered the Charmeleon not worth eating now?

Of course, such hopes were vain. Perhaps the Lugia's idea of chomping down on the pudgy lizard had not gone to plan, but...a Lugia is still much, MUCH larger than a Charmeleon... Who NEEDED to chew small meals anyways?

With that logic in wing, the Lugia simply threw its head up high, opening its maw again to almost casually toss the little lizard into the air! Flailing wildly as if he hoped to suddenly sprout wings, Charem tumbled up...and then, straight back down... His vision was full of nothing beyond the hungry Lugia's massive, 'welcoming' maw!

This was a delightful comic that a very kind person over from pixiv.net drew up for me, that I admittedly and ashamedly didn't actually notice for a good year! This was mostly due to how my previous computer really had a screwed-up OS, and would not display and sometimes crash on certain foreign characters, including Japanese. And pixiv happens to be a Japanese site...so I had to stay away from it for a little while.

The artist of this is Winte, and this comic came out from a conversation I had with them via a note a while back. I don't actually know Japanese, but I was able to translate semi-well with Google Translate, which allowed for an amiable conversation. ^^
