Catching Foxes, One Step at a Time! - by Teaselbone

Charem

Artie! He's the greatest master of them all! Well...as far as micros went, at least. Few 'furs of a diminutive size' dared to be Pokemon trainers, with the number of unfortunate encounters and events that one can have when all Pokemon are bigger than you; it was hard to blame them. Artie was indeed much braver than most micros, but it didn't save him from a number of...unfortunate events. Even with his own Pokemon!

Still, Artie has escaped time and time again from those situations, and tried his best to learn from the events and avoid them in the future. But, sadly, there isn't much control that can one really have when they're only a few inches tall. The fox had this lesson thrust upon him yet again one fateful, sunny day...

While I am a pudgy and domesticated Charmeleon, it doesn't mean I don't like to get outside once and a while. I always enjoyed a nice stroll down one of the Pokeworld's many Routes, the paths being quite clear and clean while also being very scenic. I would run into wild Pokemon milling about in the grass, maybe the occasional human or trainer travelling along the road...of course, my collar, a mark of ownership, would show such people I was to be left alone, and not attempted to be caught.

I suppose the little fox that stood in my way on the path one day wasn't able to see my collar from his...lower position. It certainly would explain his excitement on seeing me, and why he whipped out a tiny little Pokeball. He certainly looked ready to...catch me? I was simply perplexed. I watched as he threw the ball at my leg with all his might, and while I wasn't exactly intimidated by such a tiny ball, I simply lifted my foot and let it roll onto the ground. Smash! I just casually let my foot down, the little sphere bending and cracking into dust...

Well, that seemed to upset the foxie a bit. He whipped out another ball, which I could determine held an actual Pokemon this time. I wasn't really in the mood to fight at this point, and with a smirk I simply...stepped forward. Thwump! My foot hitting the ground was a soft sound to me, but the fox shook at the vibrations. Slowly I took another step towards him, causing the micro to hurriedly put away his ball and turn to run.

...Heheh... Like I was letting him get away after that. The fox grew darker as the shadow of my foot loomed over him. While he ran as fast as he could, he can no momentum, and could only travel 1/20th of the distance I could in a single stride.

Thwump! Again the sound of my foot meeting the ground was heard, but this time much softer... Indeed, the fuzzy fur of the fox softened the step, as he was pinned face-up on the ground. I rubbed my foot atop him, being light on the foot so as not to squish the little trainer. Plus, he was a lot more fun in one living, wriggling piece...

I purrled deeply as he squirmed to escape, my 'light' step pinning him quite firmly to the ground. I wriggled my toes, clenching his arms and paws between them, and let my leathery and mildly-abrasive pads scritch his chest and belly. He was scared...naturally...but I simply smiled lightly, raising my neck and tapping my exposed collar. Trying to catch a non-wild Pokemon like me was actually a crime, and I simply was doling out a bit of 'punishment' to the law-breaker. <3

...Yeah, that's a good excuse to get my paws pleasured, isn't it? ;3~ chirrrrble <3

Oh boy this was an AMAZING commission. ^..^   artie, the famous micro Pokemon trainer, took a liking to me and was quite receptive to the idea of me and him getting into a picture together. =3 I don't do nearly enough things with micros, nor have I ever done a 'stompy' picture before. So...this seemed like a perfect opportunity to do both! <3

Artie suggested we joint commission the talented   Teaselbone, so that's what we did! ^^ The foxie was really really kind to me too, because I normally can't afford somebody like Teasel. <3 Teasel was quite helpful and profession through the commission process as well, which was really nice. So thank you so much to both of you guys for making this picture happen! ^.^/

I had actually always dreamed of commissioning Teasel, so I'm pleased as punch about this picture. n..n Not to mention that it's very accurate and cute! This is a more toony way I don't normally get drawn in, but it fits me so well and looks totally cool. <3 I'm very happy with my paws in particular, which were drawn nearly perfectly. (Perhaps they should have been a bit 'poofy', but that's really a trait of my pads I usually leave up to the artist's style.)

I dunno how many more times I'll do stompy pics, but I have to say that they're quite cute and fun. <3 I wonder who else would like to be under a Char's step?...
