As you spoke, tears coating your face as you told him of your sorrows and woes, he would look up and smile to you - It was not a smile out of amusement, but understanding and empathy.

His paw reached up to lightly take your cheek into his grasp, leaning in and hugging you as his embrace pulled you tight and into a caring, loving hug.

"I understand. And it is okay. It will be okay. For now, give me your grief, and your pain. We all must find a way to let it out, 'lest it consumes us."
