Voiceover - "Myre" Prologue

Lanovran

Yesterday, I received my copy of Myre: Chronicles of Yria, Vol. 1. It's the first part of an epic fantasy graphic novel series created by my friend Claudya Schmidt (a.k.a. AlectorFencer), who is among the very best artists I know. Her artwork is nearly beyond compare, and makes the book worthwhile on its own! I haven't gotten too far into the story yet, but I dig it so far. :P

Well, I hadn't recorded anything in a while, and I particularly hadn't recorded any voiceover in a much longer while, but this got me feeling inspired. :) As such, I decided to narrate the opening lines from the book's prologue, which comprise a short tale told of an ancient legend about the land of Yria, where the book's story is set. The character telling the tale seems to be an old fella named Boozer.

Of course, I had to include some music to go with it, and there was no better option than a piece specifically composed for "Myre" by another talented friend of mine by the name o' FoxAmoore. ;) The song used for this narration, titled "Journey's Dawn," is part of Fox's official "soundtrack" for the graphic novel series, and it just so happens to also feature yours truly playing the main flute parts!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy, and be sure to follow the links above to check out Alector and Fox's amazing work!
