Taking a study Abroad to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park offered a wide variety of scenery, historical locations and the all the haze-filled misty vistas you could ask for. However, one of the trips of our trip itinerary consisted of a visit to the John Oliver cabin, an early homestead property erected within the one-mile loop that is Cades’ Cove. If you haven’t visited Cades Cove (or the Great Smoky Mountains National Park for that matter) I highly suggest you do so. Get out and walk, see the sights (just don’t feed the bears of course!). Anyways, we had a really comical and witty National Park Service attendant give us a tour of the historical site and I snapped this shot. Hope you enjoy.
